Physical therapists are doctorate-level experts in treating neuromuscular pain, weakness, and conditions in the body. Pelvic health physical therapists have advanced training to address bladder, bowel, and sexual health concerns and conditions, in addition to orthopedic conditions (like low back pain for example). We are trained to assess your whole body, including internal and external pelvic floor muscle exams to determine the best program and techniques for you to reach your goals.

Louisiana Pelvic Health LLC is an Out-of-Network (OON) Provider for all insurance. Payment is due at the time of service by check, cash, credit card, or HSA/FSA cards. Insurance companies often reimburse for OON physical therapy treatments. We will provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance directly. Physical Therapy services qualify for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexibile Spending Accounts (FSA). Please contact your insurance to inquire about OON benefits.

 We chose out-of-network provider structure because it allows us to spend more one-on-one time in our sessions and remain client focused with our hands on focus and head to toe assessments. This means you will have your therapist's undivided attention for minimum 60 minutes, will never work with aides/assistants, and will never have any surprise bills for your visits. 

Your therapist will also be accessible to you in between sessions for communication and will provide you with education and resources to help you manage your condition in between your visits with confident understanding.

As a result, this model ultimately results in fewer visits, faster outcomes, and decreased overall cost of co-pays and unnecessary visits.

In the state of Louisiana, a referral from a physician is not required to attend physical therapy. However, if your physical therapist feels additional medical examination or treatment may be best for you, we may recommend you see a physician.

Yes, a cancellation fee will be charged if less than 48 hours in advance to keep the most available schedule for those waiting for an appointment. Exceptions will made for emergencies.

During your initial evaluation, we'll spend 20-30+ minutes chatting and get to know each other. It's so important for me to learn more about what your goals and concerns are for your therapy. While we're chatting, I'll start to formulate a hypothesis for diagnosis that will later be used in the examination portion to confirm. After that, I will explain what examination I need to perform based on what we've discussed. This could be a lumbar spine exam, hip exam, muscle testing, postural analysis, external pelvic floor assessment, sacroiliac exam, diastasis recti assessment, deep core assessment. The entire session should last about 75 minutes.
